The Vierthaler Pond in Hanover, which covers an area of approx. 9,000 m², was desludged from February to May 2017 by means of a buoyant suction vehicle in order to sustainably improve the water quality. A total of 4,410 m³ of sediment was pumped out of the Vierthaler Pond and dewatered using belt presses. This corresponds to a tonnage of 2,800, which was transported to the disposal plant as DK I material according to in situ sampling.
Scope of services:
Conceptual design for desludging measures, coordination with authorities and application for corresponding formalities (waste, nature conservation and water authorities), in situ sampling and declaration, calculation of sludge cubature, preparation of the award of contract by drawing up the specifications and the bill of quantities, Preparation of the construction schedule and cost estimate, expert supervision (local construction supervision, inspection of the degree of drainage, container sampling, implementation of control measures, internal and external consignment notes, management of construction meetings), audit of the executing company.
