Description

DB Energie GmbH, Cologne, will be carrying out the repair of the Rudersdorf-Finnentrop 110 kV railway power line in the Arnsberg administrative district by 2018. A total of 109 pylons over a length of approx. 54 km are affected. Within the scope of the repair, pylons, foundations and conductor cables will be replaced and adapted to the current state of the art. SPIE SAG Leitungsbau, based in Montabaur, was commissioned with the construction work. Furthermore, as one of the commissioned species protection-specific avoidance measures, the accompaniment of the construction measure by an ecological construction supervision (ÖBB) was required. As a result, M&P was commissioned by SPIE SAG Leitungsbau in 2014 to carry out the tasks of ecological construction supervision. The nature conservation and landscape planning group has been involved in the project since the beginning of the preliminary work in July 2014 and is working closely with the construction management on the nature conservation issues and requirements during the project.
