On the site of the former Truman Plaza in the Berlin-Dahlem district, a new residential quarter is being built in sections on a plot of approx. 5.6 hectares. This residential area, Five Acres Dahlem Urban Village, is grouped as an ensemble of detached villas, semi-detached and multi-family houses on a total of 8 building plots around a 6,200 m² pond, which is also to be built. The air-conditioning of approx. 30,000m² gross floor area is provided entirely by geothermal energy. For this purpose, 210 geothermal probes were installed. Geothermal probes were installed and combined with low-temperature solar thermal energy to regenerate the EWS fields.
Scope of services: Planning of a complex borehole heat exchanger system for heating, hot water production and cooling of residential buildings with solar thermal energy for regeneration of the ground storage tank: From conceptual design to commissioning of the system.
