According to the files of the district of Friesland, the existence of three former drilling mud pits is known. In the course of the settlement agreement between the Land of North Rhine-Westphalia and the WEG, funding was used for the historical investigation (Phase I), with the aim of assessing whether there is a justified suspicion of contaminated sites or whether a hazard to protected property can be eliminated.
